John McCain Is Taking A Beating At His Own Town Halls

Enjoy the compilation of John McCain getting destroyed by town hall constituents on the issue of Syria. McCain has probably been forced to conduct town halls in response to his most vocal opponent in the House: Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan, who has been very publicly showcasing the public opposition to war in his Syria debate-only town halls. 

Of course, McCain has plenty of supporters among the Syrian rebels.

This is a very appropriate clip in the context of the push for war in Syria. Romanticism drives war, but the American public is not being fooled so easily-for now at least.

Another famous actor, Dick van Dyke, has stated he believes Syria intervention may be the catalyst for World War 3.

Ron Paul makes some excellent points in his latest video. Namely, the fact that the Syria-hype is eerily similar to Iraq, and the idea that Assad would use chemical weapons knowing the consequences of doing so is irrational. Additionally, he points out the fact that Al-Qaeda is heavily entrenched among the rebels, as well as China and Russia having interests as well.

Despite objections from Senators Menendez (D-NJ) and Rubio (R-FL), Senator Paul (R-KY) stood staunchly today against a bill which would arm Syrian rebels, citing the danger to Christians enjoying protection under Assad, and the links between the rebels and Al-Qaeda forces.

Intervention into Syria would contribute to further instability in the Middle East if Egypt and Libya are any indication, as despots are not nearly as dangerous as radical religious extremists. It would also contribute to the growing federal deficit which cannot not afford to grow any larger.
