Weekly Idiot Roundup: Rev. Jesse Jackson And Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee

Jesse Jackson, an alleged minister, was captured on Ed Schultz's radio program making these delusional comments:
SCHULTZ: What's your take on what we're facing right now in this country?

JACKSON: We're looking at the re-rise of the Confederacy, the same group narrowly conceived -- anti-labor, anti-racial justice, anti-gender equality, anti-the big American dream -- that tried to take us down in 1860. It was the Fort Sumter tea party, its progenitor, and Lincoln had to fight a war to establish the Union from them and to end slavery. This is the resurrection of the Confederacy.
Just more of the same from the old racist. With comments like these he loses credibility by the day as he chooses to continue to live in the past.
And Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, well known for her infamous comments, including the "I stand here as a freed slave" line, ripped out two more crazy statements recently.

The first was in the immediate aftermath of the Washington D.C. shooting. She insinuated the government shutdown was the motivation behind the shooting:
"And God knows the tragedy of this poor person who came on the Hill in a black car. No one knows what drived this person to do this."
It turns out the lady in the black car had mental issues.

And today this gem of a suggestion was uttered by Jackson Lee on the House floor:
“This is not an idea of anyone over another person. Republican and Democratic senators have already voted for this clean bill that we could vote on today. We have martial law. What that means – and my colleagues know what it means – is that you can put a bill on in just minutes.”
I think she has figured out what would provoke people to invade D.C.

I hope she stays in Congress to serve as living proof that liberalism is a mental disease.
